Ever since my middle eastern stay earlier in the decade, I have special place for Turkish and Arabic food in my heart. I still vividly remember the food streets where the grills stimulating and delighting my senses with the taste of mouth watering kebabs and mezza infused with olive oil, spices and herbs.

Now while in Bangalore ,whenever I feel the urge to relish the middle eastern street favours, I tend to gravitate towards Tarbouche ,known for its consistently good quality and flavours.

Tarbouche, established in 2016 is an authentic approach to the Turkish-Arabic Street food style of kebabs in Bangalore, is now a multi outlet chain in city with presence at BTM, HSR, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, Sarjapur Road with a few others in the pipeline.

Blending Authentic Arabic flavours and taste of the delicacies during his travels in the Middle East, founder Labeeb Usman wanted to bring his experience to this country.

Hailing from god’s own country, Labeeb has had extensive experience in the fine-dining space in Kerala and wanted to venture into the QSR Space with their first outlet in Koramangala more than 2 years ago. Since then, the journey of Tarbouche has encompassed 6 outlets in locations across Bangalore and 2 in Chennai.

At Tarbouche, all I need is a lamb kebap and Kabsa along with Sharwarma , hummus and falafel – and I’m all set for a evening of good food and conversations with loved ones.

As for food, the dishes I definitely recommend here are their popular Shawarma, Lamb Shish Kebab of Turkish origin, Tantuni Minced Lamb, and juicy Falafel amongst others. The dishes here , I feel are true to taste and aroma and retain the succulence and flavour of its essential ingredients.Their most anticipated dish -Yemeni Style Kabsa Biryani cooked in meat stock that has been recently introduced has been a instant hit.Among their beverages , my favourite are their Tender Coconut Cooler and the mint lime coolers , both refreshing to the core.

As the dishes are also available in a comprehensive packaging, I often opt for take away and home delivery.

All you need is a mezze platter with some Turkish dishes such as hummus, falafel and kebab – and you’re all set for a night of good food and conversation.
