4 best fitness tips when you travel

Travel can really mess up your fitness regime. The regular schedule can get affected as we do not have our usual workout gear and means. With our focus more on vacation dining and drinking or perhaps work meetings , getting back to normal routine could become sometimes challenging. But hitting treadmill or hotel gym after long day at work would not be a great idea, you would appreciate.

Beat the Jetlag and maintain normal meal times.

Jet Lags can be very taxing and I usually try to be awake till my bedtime and try to maintain usual meal timings. Avoid unhealthy late-night snacks or junk as I call them. Best would be pre-order healthy meals before check in, so that the temptation for browsing the menu is curbed. You can always have cheat meal once a day.

Walk or cycle when ever you can

Walking or cycling will not only keep your fitness goals intact, it will also help you experience the city you are visiting in a much better way. Mornings are the best, I feel ,as it will revitalize you and make your day better.  I usually try to walk or cycle as much as i can during my vacation.Most destinations have bike rental facilities and if the infrastructure permits, Biking not only is the best bet to cover the place in a shorter time, it will also take care of the environmental needs. Of course, thanks to smartphones apps, you can track your daily activities real time.

Dance! Dance your way to fitness

Music and Dance is often considered one of the best therapies for fit mind and body. My mantra is to visit nightclub during my travel for some high intensity dance workout with lot of fun as well. Plus you can network with locals and visitors too, getting the taste of the place.

What better way than swimming to yourself fit while staying in a hotel. A great all-round workout activity for all age group as you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. It not only keeps your heart rate up but also takes some of the impact stress off your body and help in building endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.
