Restaurant Review : It’s Via Milano at Sarjapur Road ,Bangalore | India
It’s time to revisit Italy..Via Milano but at Sarjapur Road.
Situated at the front side of a posh sarjapur residences, The Gran Carmen , this ristorante has charm of old Italian and European style elegance with high roof , church style bench seating on one side and high table seating in the middle , cosy corners overlooking the pool and even a personal dining area with exquisite art on display. For those who love the feel of fresh air while dining , they have nice and relaxing alfresco patio, that provides the perfect mood for culinary experience paired with a glass of your favourite wine.
The menu mostly is similar to one at their Koramangla one but there are few additions from the Mediterranean. With great options of antipasti, the non vegetariano like Grilled Shrimp with Mustard dressing, Chicken fritters stuffed with Mozzarella, shish taouk and vegetariano like Grilled bell pepper rolls with goat cheese, Via Milano Salad, Panzarottie stuffed with Ricotta and Spinach, Assorted Bruschetta, fela fel with hummus, we were really spoilt for choices from the beginning.
The brick oven pizzas , Siciliana and Bollywood were simply fantastic. So were their pastas , the classic Spaghetti aglio olio, Ricotta Spinach Ravioli and Farfalle Broccoli.
The Dolci or the desserts as we say, Pannacotta with Strawberry sauce, my all time favourite Tiramisu and the semi frozen Italian cake delicacy Almond Semifreddo were among we relished here.
