Restaurant Review : Bombay Adda now in Bengaluru

The swanky and extravagant Bombay style Adda is now in Bangalore

Spread over 2 floors in the Koramangla, the food capital of Bangalore ,the lavish Bombay Adda is now adding extra sheen to the food scene in the city.

The place is huge with 65,000 square feet area if you are lucky to be seated near the bar on the other side , you will have a magnificent view of green Bangalore. Twice ,I had an opportunity to visit this place , first during its mega launch and later for the culinary experience with few loved ones.

As the name suggests , this opulent cafe , Bar and Lounge place also retains very “Bombaiya” (Mumbai like) in its character with lots of predictable filmy elements from Bollywood sets and posters and complimented by some contemporary looks.

Coming to the menu , it’s a assortment of local , Indian, fusion and world cuisines along with some great bar offerings in cocktails and drinks.

Starting with the drinks and cocktails first , their names are quite interestingly zany with drinks that are not only delicious but looks great too. The names like Namma G&T, Adda Brunch Mary and not to be missed Spiced Filter Old Fashioned certainly add zing to the experience with its unique flavours and presentation.

The fusion and local influence was clearly visible in the appetiser we tried , deletcable Gun powder fish finger , vegetarian must try mirchi wala aloo with papad wala tacos , Mediterranean Hummusa signature preparation (shot glass filled with hummus, topped with a samosa), and not so appealing to me onion rings with magic powder along with the regulars like Indian ajwani fish tikka , chicken tikka and achari flavoured cottage cheese skewers and pan-Asian wok fried garlic and pepper chicken. all served with a fancy presentation.

After a hearty dose of appetisers , it was time for some mains, the southern pulimunchi curry chicken with neer dosa , fish curry with rice and appam , and paneer makahan wala and Dal makhni with kulcha.

Then we ended our sojourn with the must try Bombay Adda desserts , the Gauva Chilli Panna cotta and the Philadelphia baked cheese cake with berry compote.
