Those who have been to south east asian nation of Cambodia, will always know it as a country of “Cultural blend”, of old and new ,and as a truly adventurous destination.

In their native cuisines, the Khmer BBQ is such a essential culinary ritual for all who visit in the region. It is a interactive and hands-on community dining experience where one cook and eat BBQ at the table.

Usually a fixed priced unlimited BBQ , One has to pick their choice of raw meats and vegetables selection and then cook on the personal BBQ provided for each table. Unlike the BBQ most of us know , Khmer is metal dome with a little ‘moat’ at its base, and is usually placed for cooking on gas stove or more recently on Induction stove.

For Cambodians, who are very sociable lot, it is a cultural thing to eat in large groups. They culturally believe that meals especially dinners are the time for family and social bonding and Khmer BBQ is the certainly the best way.

Under the culinary dynamism of Chef Vikas Seth , Sriracha at Koramangla has recently introduced Khmer BBQ , perhaps first in the city. Available only with prior reservations for table of 2, 3 and 4 guests, the Khmer BBQ table is available with following selections at their Indiranagar outlet.

Seafood and Meats : Kroeung Prawns , Soy Oyster Garlic Fish (Catch of the day ) , Sriracha Chicken and Ginger Tenderloin.

Vegetarian : Kroeung Tofu and Soy Garlic Mushrooms.

Kroeung , that literally translated into ingredients , is a spicy curry paste that imparts the khmer cuisine their distinctly unique exotic flavours and aromas. With a base of lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime zest, turmeric, garlic, and shallots, this herb and spice paste is also used as base for many classic dishes in Cambodia.

Apart from the famed Khmer BBQ & dishes, and their regular south eastern dishes, Sriracha menu is also known for its Robata specialities. For those who are not aware, it is one of the oldest and most popular traditional style of Japanese grilling on charcoal. With technique perfected over centuries, originally from northern japan, the cooking at the Sriracha, is done over high quality charcoal on the Robata Grill. Thus ensuring intrinsic flavor of the ingredients used translate into grilled delicacy.
