Read Time:1 Minute, 28 Second

When Chef Extraordinaire Javed decided to open his restaurant in India , it has be innovative Indian gourmet affair in a relaxed elegant environment.

Very well known name in Singapore culinary fraternity , Javed Ahmad has been mentioned in Singapore Michelin Guide , and has also been recognised as World Gourmet Summit Asian Cuisine Chef of the Year 2017 and Asian Cuisine Master Chef of the Year 2018 for his immense contributions recently.

A contemporary Indian cuisine casual eating house and bar from Singapore’s Clark Quay , Maziga (means cooking in traditional earthen pots) is first of its kind from the Lion city.

The ambience at Maziga is richly luxurious and comfortable with a bar in the corner and wine display at the entrance with giant crystal drops chandelier-style lighting donning the ceiling.

The highlight of the menu here are its old Indian favourites dishes presented in a modern way. Make a great beginning here with the Blueberry or Avocado Lassi or the traditional good old Mattha or Jal Jeera and follow it with Greek salad with Indian twist , Murg Tikka ceasar salad.

The dishes here like Broccoli & Lentil Shorba , Amritsari Crab Kaffir Lime Korma Sauce , trendier Artichoke and Kale Chaat , Tawa scallops to name few , are modern rendering of rustic Indian cuisine with foreign ingredients.

Picking my favourites was not easy , and the best among equals here are Palak gucchi risotto kichadi , Sarso cod fish, maggi chicken tikka , goat cheese samosa & aloo chat and Haldi wali kulfi.

With presentation that will make Michelin restaurants envious, and taste authentically traditional , this place is a exemplary version of modern take on Indian culinary heritage, giving Maziga unparalleled acclaim in short time.
