India will now be represented at the Miss Sake Grand Prix to be held in Japan in March 2020. This major announcement was made by Miss Sake Japan 2019, Sae Haruta at a special event hosted by the Ambassador of Japan to India, H.E. Kenji Hiramatsu, at his residence in Delhi recently. The event ‘An Evening with Japanese Sake 2019,’ was hosted with the objective of raising awareness about Japanese sake.
“I am looking forward to welcoming Miss Sake India in our growing family of glamorous ambassadors who will spread the awareness about our beautiful culture through sake,” said Sae Haruta.
Miss Sake Contests are held in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam, and will now be held in India. Miss Sake finalists from these countries will vie for the coveted Miss Sake Japan 2020 Crown at Kyoto, Japan on March 17, 2020.
Candidates in the age group of 25-35 can apply for the contest. The regional round for North and East will be held in November; participants from West and South regions will meet in Mumbai in December. The finale will be held in February 2020. The finalists will attend a workshop Japanese traditions including wearing a Kimono.
Under the license of Miss Sake Association of Japan, liquor trade magazine, Spiritz, is the sole owner of this property in India. Application forms will be uploaded on Spiritz’s social media channels shortly.
