Relish Summer flavors of Italy at Alba, JW Marriott, Bengaluru
Among the finest Italian dining restaurant in city, my “Numero Uno” choice has been Alba at JW Marriott Bengaluru. Located in the heart of the city and next door to the affluent UB City , it has been known for serving the best Italian fare in the garden city with its delectably authentic and diverse Italian flavors in its menu. I would rate their Tiramisu as the best in the Bangalore.
Since this is a Italian Summer Special menu , let me go back in time, 14 years to be precise. It was Italian summer of 2003 , when I was on a trip to northern Italy. My first stop was Milano, where I had landed from Paris.The scene there was vastly different from other times of the year. During summers, they celebrate the two important national holidays, the Festa della Repubblica on June 2nd and Ferragosto on August 15th. It is usually vacation time with Italians heading towards beaches and mountains with kids and families. It is also that time of the year when numerous summer festivals in Italy from big cities like Milan to small village are held across the country.

Coming back to the food, the Summer Italian recipes are lighter with predictable inclusion of cool starters, quickly prepared pastas with simple yet refreshing sauces, lot of grilled and fried meats and creamier desserts. The Italians love to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables and salads become essential part of their summer meals. If you’re in Italy, you could head to the local fair or sagra , perhaps the perfect and authentic way to experience get Italian food and culture. And of course, summer is a wonderful time to enjoy gelato, Italian ice cream.

To commemorate the spirit of summer season, Chef Rahali from Italy has curated a summer special menu to rejuvenate the Indian palate with some of the best Italian fare from the hot season. The Italian Super Chef , he has been part of Bangalore culinary scene for nearly 2 years now. With over 15 years of experience in his native Italian cuisine , he has been part of the two of best Italian fine dining restaurants, Alto Vino at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield and now Alba at JW Marriot.
