GO NATIVE at HSR

Based on “Farm-to-Table” , the all day dining vegetarian GO NATIVE believes in respecting and preserving the cultural heritage , adhering to the principle of Going local, going sustainable !

The promoters of this place believes in promoting the India’s sustainability story through this culinary and heritage initiative. The outlet at HSR Layout, the second one after the Jayanagar one , is spread over 4 floors,with restaurant and store in the same place. The store on the lower floors is all about sustainable products for better meaningful living , as one can find everything from mesmerising old style interiors , eco friendly wares, rustic furniture and old chest , earthy paintings and others. This place also promotes local artists , providing them platform to showcase their work to larger audiences. 

from the earthy interior décor, to the eco-friendly lights made of banana fibre and cement dust, to the organic, local vegetarian meals it serves up, to even the curated set of products in its store that are made by local artisans.

The Go Native’s farm-to-table restaurant on the top floor with both alfresco and inside dining options, offers a very interesting vegetarian menu. With most of its ingredients and vegetables produced organically from their own farmland at Discovery village , situated on the outskirts of Bangalore , near Nandi Hills, the menu here is mostly seasonal and served as per the availability of the seasonal produce.

As the menu is quite lavish, here is my picks from my visit earlier. The Millet Mangalore Buns from coastal Karnataka, the mic veggie Misal Pav from Maharastra , the assorted mini burger sliders and millet Palak Kichadi were simply outstanding. To compliment their great food , they also have healthy drinks that compliment the meal here.
