Say XOOX to Good Brew times !

The erstwhile mill at Koramangla , now rechristened into a grand brew mill called Xoox is creating waves all over the city. Owned by Rekhansh Karamchandani, this lavishly splendid three storied Brew heaven is also a perfect destination for Live music and entertainment.

During our recent visit to this picturesquely magnificent brew-mill , we tried the brew paired 6 course pre-fixe menu. Beginning with Belgian Wit paired with Dehydrated Dosa , that resembles more like mangalorean kori roti in two variants , normal and beet root , served with delicious tomato & coconut chutney , the next course was the Japanses Dry Blonde Ale brew served with delightful Honey chilly glazed Beetroot Carpaccio in yogurt dressing.

After two initial vegetarian courses , we were served Nitro Milk Stout beer paired with Dimsums/Cantonese Chicken in crispy chilly sauce.Few others on the table opted for the Pork Bao instead. The fourth course was the Scottish Ale-Chicken Trio paired with Indian variation of south African Bunny Chow.

The penultimate course or the main course here had Hefeweizen beer served with an option of Pesto Fettucine or Laal Maas curry.This was certainly the dish of day for me.

Finally , we were served not so prevalent Apple Cider along with with two delightful desserts, Tres Leches and Baked Alaska, where I would prefer former over the later.

Our Verdict

The beautifully done brew pub has been complimented well by its food, that is experimentally Indian with the global outlook. With array of delightful brews like Japanese Dry Blonde Ale, Scotch Brown Ale, Smoked Amber Ale and apple cider on the menu, this place has immense potential to make its mark on the bangalore pub scene.
