Welcome to Taiki  – the Japanese & Korean inspired culinary destination in Indira Nagar.

Situated on 100 ft road , the pan asian place has been aesthetically designed with great optimisation of the space spread across 1150 sq feet over One and half floors. The creative use of mirrors here enhances the natural light through reflection and also sense of visual appeal and depth to this place. The interiors are appealingly urbane and has elements of greenery along with concrete and bricks in their design.

The menu has been inspired by Japanese and Korean cuisines and that’s what fascinated me most during my visit here. We started with never heard before Litchi Wantons from their Small Eats section , along with the Crispy Lotus stems. While the former was a flat wantons with Lichi and greens , the later was the fried dish of crispy slices of Lotus stems ,served with sweet chilli sauce and sesame seeds.

Next on our table was the Lamb Bulgogi Gimbap , grilled variety of lamb from Korean style of barbecue , followed by another Korean speciality Gochugaru Lamb Chops.Made with Red chili pepper flake (“Gochugaru” in Korean) is one of the key ingredients in Korean cooking , these lamb chops are definitely must haves here.

In the mains , my friends ordered Chicken Bibimpap , one of the most renowned rice dish from the Korea again , where the rice and assorted ingredients are served in a bowl. A comfort food for most natives there , it has to be mixed together before eating. We also tried Thai Green Chicken Rice Bowl and a Taiki Special Chankonabe stew from Japan.

Our desserts included the Date & Chocolate Cigar Rolls , a Taiki favourite and very unique Bingsu, a traditional Korean summer time delicacy with Strawberries and Milk Shavings in subzero temperature , topped with option of fruits cocktail, red bean, Ingeolmi, fresh fruits, cereal flakes, Ice cream etc.

With dishes like Sushi, bao, ramen, gyoza, gimbap and lots more , Taiki is a perfect pan asian destination for food lovers who prefer dishes from the kitchens of Japan & Korea.
