Restaurant Review :Tea Brew , Indiranagar ,Bangalore | India
“Where there’s tea there’s hope.”
Arthur Wing Pinero
Tea Facts : It is the most loved beverage across the world and it is estimated that whopping 3 million tons of tea were consumed in the past year.
One may be surprised to know that with few minor exceptions ,there are really only two ways to say “tea” in the world – One is Cha or Chai in Hindi and the other one is ike the English term—té in Spanish and tee in Afrikaans. Interesting isn’t it ?
After tête-à-tête with Australian masterchef finalist Sarah Todd at her masterclass , I decided to meet my friend Abhishek over cup of tea nearby. He suggested a quaint tea place near the double road in indiranagar called Tea Brew. We loved the consistency and taste of the two Kulhad Chai with masala and eliachi flavours , we had ordered. Perhaps the best I had ,outside my home in Bangalore, each sip has my mouth burst with cardamon and tea flavours in my mouth. To accompany our “Chai” , we also had a plate of chicken momos ,that were just decent in taste ,and filling could have been better, we felt.
The menu here also serves appetising all day breakfast , small plates , sandwiches and burgers, waffle and pancakes , pastas , indian main course combos and desserts , apart from wide varieties of teas and drinks.
The place opens at noon and cost of two here would be INR 500.
